400 block of East Sunrise Boulevard, Aug. 29, 2:09 p.m. Burglars broke into a business.

2100 block of Southwest 23rd Terrace, Aug. 24, 12:33 a.m. Someone stole a car in a residential neighborhood. 100 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard, Sept. 4, 1:34 p.m. A loss prevention officer observed a man go to the electronics section and select two phone chargers and stereo headphones and place them in a bag over his shoulder. The man proceeded to the checkout with other items in a shopping cart and claimed he left his wallet in the car. He attempted to leave the store with the merchandise in his handbag and was apprehended outside the store and the property was recovered along with two packs of brand new socks. The items were valued at $39.98. The man was trespassed from the store.

2600 block of North Dixie Highway, Sept. 4, 6:33 p.m. A man said he went to several locations in the city and noticed a scratch on the rear driver’s side door. He said earlier in the day he noticed a woman walking by the vehicle, but did not know if she damaged it.

2600 block of Northwest Sixth Avenue, Sept. 11, 1:14 a.m. A man heard a loud bang at his front door and believed the door was shot at because there were three circular impacts on the lower section of the door. The damage was estimated at $1,500.

200 block of West Hillsboro Boulevard, Sept. 19, 8:44 a.m. A woman was arrested for retail theft, resisting a merchant, and drug paraphernalia and taken to the BSO main jail.

3600 block of West Hillsboro Boulevard, Sept. 19, 6:21 p.m. A man ordered $11.60 worth of food at Chic Fil A and gave the clerk a counterfeit $100 bill.

1000 block of East Newport Center Drive, Sept. 21, 9 a.m. A woman reported she suspects a guest in her hotel room stole her cell phone and cash.
