‘Dump hate’? Trump stokes divisiveness

Sun Sentinel Broward Edition - - VOICES & OPINION -

In a Oct. 9 letter to the editor, “Support commander in chief,” the writer outlines in clear, concise language exactly why our country is in such a perilous condition today. In his letter, this Trump supporter proves conclusively that he, like most other supporters of our “president,” have completely lost touch with reality.

He wrote the following words in reference to the millions of patriotic Americans who are protesting against Trump’s hateful and divisive words and actions: “Let’s dump the hate, folks, and move on.”

That’s right. A Trump supporter actually said “Let’s dump the hate.” Was there a sillier or a more nonsensical statement ever made in the history of mankind?

Until Trump supporters can at least admit that their commander in chief is the number one cheerleader for hateful and divisive speech, nothing positive is ever going to be produced by this president or his Republican-controlled Congress. Walter Hollander, Fort Lauderdale
