Allow college kids to enjoy Spring Break

In regard to the Nov. 10 editorial “Proposed rules for Spring Break go too far,” I agree with you wholeheartedly. Don’t come down on the kids too heavily. I am from the 1970s generation of treasured college beach memories forever etched in my brain.

Hearing the Spencer Davis band at a beach venue was wonderful. The Rascals “A Beautiful Morning” will be forever coupled with being a Floridian today, corny as that sounds.

Let the kids blow off steam and give them a chance to behave. Keep the welcome mat out. Fort Lauderdale has changed since our days in college; it is upscale now. Let the kids play. Michael Connelly, Brooksville, Fla.
