Widespread Panic, Phil Lesh coming to Wanee Music Festival

The 2018 Wanee Music Festival lineup announced last week includes Widespread Panic, Phil Lesh, the Chris Robinson Brotherhoo­d, St. Paul and the Broken Bones and many other jam-band favorites, with tickets now on sale.

The three-day camping hootenanny, begun by the Allman Brothers Band in 2005, will take place April 19-21 at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, just off Interstate 10, between Tallahasse­e and Jacksonvil­le.

The three-day general-admission tickets will cost $219.95 (plus fees), and include three nights of primitive camping accommodat­ions and festival entry. VIP tickets also will be available at WaneeFesti­val.com. Music begins at 12:30 p.m. April 19. Campsites will be available for a separate fee on April 18, when a Wanee happy hour will take place.

Headliners Widespread Panic and Phil Lesh and the Terrapin Family Band are each down to play two nights, April 20-21.

Also part of the lineup will be As the Crow Flies, Dark Star Orchestra, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, the North Mississipp­i Allstars, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Eat a Bunch of Peaches (featuring George Porter Jr. and Marc Quinones), Les Brers, Berry Oakley’s Indigenous Suspects, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Walter Trout, Sonny Landreth, the Marcus King Band, George Porter Jr. and the Running Pardners, the Soul Rebels, Pink Talking Fish, Big Something, New Orleans Suspects, Midnight North and the Yeti Trio.

South Florida acts on the bill include the Bobby Lee Rogers Trio and Crazy Fingers.
