Ultimate Software ranks high in survey
WESTON — Software company Ultimate Software of Weston is the only South Florida employer on Glassdoor’s “100 Best Places to Work” for 2018, based on anonymous employee reviews.
Ultimate Software ranks 10th on the list, following No. 1 Facebook, No. 2 Bain & Co., No. 3 Boston Consulting Group, No. 4 In-N-Out Burger, No. 5 Google, No. 6 Lululemon, No. 7 Hubspot, No. 8 World Wide Technology, and No. 9 St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Glassdoor, a jobs site that provides an inside look at employers from the workers’ perspective, includes the top-rated companies with 1,000 or more employees on its “100 Best” list.
When reviewing a company, employees are asked for an overall rating as well as feedback on career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and management, senior values, work-life balance, and whether they’d recommend the employer to a friend.
Ultimate Software is no stranger to such lists, as Fortune magazine ranked Ultimate No. 7 on its “100 Best Companies to Work For” list for 2017; first on its “10 Best Large Workplaces in Technology”; and second on its “100 Best Workplaces for Women.” Also in 2017, Ultimate ranked seventh on Forbes’ “100 Most Innovative Growth Companies” and second on People’s “50 Companies That Care.”
And this week, Ultimate also was ranked No. 3 on this year’s 50 Best Workplaces for Diversity list by Fortune and consultant Great Place to Work. The ranking considers feedback from more than 440,000 U.S. employees surveyed nationwide at organizations representing a range of industries.
Founded in 1990, Ultimate employs 4,200 people, including 1,700 in South Florida. Founder and CEO Scott Scherr has said his philosophy is to put “people first,” and business results will follow. The Nasdaq-traded company’s stock closed down 95 cents or a half percent at $207.10 a share on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week range is $180.29 to $233.42.
