“He’s out of the boot. He’s doing more work. That’s all corrective and non-impact at this point.”

As for White, he continues to tool around AmericanAi­rlines Arena with his left foot elevated on a scooter.

“He’s got thick skin, I’ll tell you that,” Spoelstra said. “The guys rip him about that all the time, scooting around on that. He’s making progress, too. He’s healing up very nicely.” we could have used another perimeter guy,” Spoelstra said. “So it’s another perimeter player. He’s been play well, as well, down there.”

Undrafted out of Michigan, Walton is on a two-way contract that allows him to spend a maximum of 45 days in the NBA this season before his contract must be converted to a standard NBA deal, currently not counting against the NBA roster maximum of 15 players.

Walton has appeared in eight games with the Skyforce this season, averaging 14.5 points, 7.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 1.25 steals in 32.3 minutes, shooting .412 from the field, .357 on 3-pointers and .875 from the line.

In his most recent G League game, at the Oklahoma City Blue, he closed with a 12-point, 10-assist double-double Wednesday night to help the Skyforce to a 121-119 victory.

Going into Friday night, Walton had appeared in four games with the Heat, with two points, two rebounds, a steal and a block in 12 minutes.
