‘Real Housewives’ star’s husband

Bobby Zarin, the husband of “Real Housewives of New York City” star Jill Zarin, died Saturday after a long battle with cancer. He was 71.

Jill announced her husband’s death in a statement that she shared on her official website.

“With the heaviest of hearts, we are devastated to share the news that our beloved Bobby Zarin passed away peacefully today surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer,” the statement read.

“There are no words to describe how heartbroke­n we are. Thank you, everyone, for all your love and support during this difficult time.”

Jill, 54, and Bobby have been open about his health woes since the Zarin Fabrics head was first diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2009.

At the time, after having his thyroid removed and undergoing radioactiv­e iodine treatment, Bobby believed he was cured — but the cancer returned in 2015, and this lungs.

“I was hysterical­ly crying. I was scared to death,” Jill told People of the relapse.

Then, one year later, Bobby was diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent surgery.

Things took a turn for the worse this summer, when he was admitted into the hospital in July.

“His recovery is nothing short of miraculous,” Jill wrote on Instagram in August, after Bobby was discharged. “My heart is filled with such emotion everyday it’s hard to express. From the initial shock to the new ‘normal’ it’s been the most emotional time in our lives and couldn’t have gotten to where we are without help from many.”

Just ten days ago, the couple celebrated their 18th wedding anniversar­y.

Bobby’s service will be held Monday morning at 10 a.m. at Riverside Memorial in New York City.
