MORE THAN A FLEETING KISS
Rock stars Gene Simmons, left, and Paul Stanley are set to bring a trove of music and art to South Florida.
Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons will trade on South Florida’s insatiable nostalgia for KISS with upcoming meet-andgreet appearances pegged to their latest output.
On Saturday, Simmons will be at Walt Grace Vintage, the remarkable cars-and-guitars emporium in Wynwood, with his 10-CD box set “The Vault.” The collection, which Simmons calls “a deeply personal … 50-year time capsule that serves as a soundtrack to my life,” includes 150 unreleased recordings made with KISS and other artists.
The set includes a 160-page book of photography, track-by-track commentary and a variety of mementos, plus a new Gene Simmons action figure. The sticker price is $2,000.
Simmons will bring the Vault Experience World Tour to Walt Grace Vintage from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., when buyers of the box set will get a one-on-one opportunity for photos and autographs. Walt Grace Vintage is at 2450 NW Second Ave.
If you can’t make it, Simmons offers the Vault Home Experience, a twohour listening party for friends and family in your house, with Simmons hand-delivering “The Vault” to you. Cost: $50,000.
