Hear ye, hear ye! The Florida Renaissanc­e Festival opens this weekend at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach, but families don’t have to step back in time to enjoy a good festival this weekend. There is also the Fort Lauderdale Greek Festival, the Seminole Tribal Fair and Pow Wow, the South Florida Garlic Fest, the Everglades Day Outdoor Festival and the Boca Raton Seafood Festival. In Miami, you can Sleep with the Sharks at the Frost Museum of Science, and dogs have their day Sunday with PAWS in the Park in West Palm Beach. The following is a roundup of the top events for families in South Florida this weekend:

Seminole Tribal Fair and Pow Wow, today to Sunday. In addition to the usual lineup of Native American arts, crafts, foods and music, the fair will host a Pow Wow dance competitio­n open to all Native people across the Americas.
