The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School’s website has suggested ways the public can help their school and staff to heal: In lieu of gifts and individual notes, the school requests you send a laminated banner with your well wishes to be displayed on campus for the staff, students and community. Dropoff locations are the Parkland Library, 6620 N. University Drive, and the guard gate at Watercrest, 8401 Watercrest Circle, Parkland. Benefit Run/Walk. Youfit invites the community to join them today for a run/walk event to benefit victims and families. The approximat­ely 3-mile run/walk will start at 10:30 a.m. at Youfit, 9535 Westview Drive in Coral Springs, head to the school and back to YouFit. They will distribute #ParklandSt­rong T-shirts. Participan­ts are asked to donate to the official Stoneman Douglas Victims’ Fund GoFundMe page. They will contribute $1 per person, per mile. The fitness center will be open to the public on Saturday offering food, support and encouragem­ent from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 954-905-1840. Paddle Out Memorial. A memorial for those who lost their lives is planned for Sunday at 5 p.m. just north of Deerfield Beach Internatio­nal Fishing pier. Boards will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Eat with love. When you eat at I Heart Mac & Cheese Restaurant­s on Sunday between noon-4 p.m., a portion of all proceeds will go to the victims’ families. Participat­ing locations: Parkland, Coral Springs, Pembroke Pines and Fort Lauderdale. Bartenders for Parkland. The Palm Beach chapter of the United States Bartenders Guild will send 15 of its members to be guest bartenders at Voltaire Lounge, 526 Clematis St., in West Palm Beach, at 8 p.m. on Tuesday to raise money to go toward Marjory Stoneman Douglas’ GoFundMe account. Matching donations. On Sunday, all Florida locations of Duffy’s Sports Grill will match donations given by guests to the Stoneman Douglas Victims’ Fund, set up by the Broward Education Foundation. Skate night donations: Skate nights are planned to get students out and talking. Push for Good, Island Water Sports, Vans and Boards for Bros will host the first event on March 1 from 7-9 p.m. at Tamarac Skatepark, 9901 NW 77 St., Tamarac. Donate supplies such as markers and spray paint, hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, condiments, drinks and volunteers to help. Email toni@islandwate­rsports.com. Donate Blood. If you live in the area, you may be able to donate blood to help those being treated at Broward County hospitals. OneBlood, a Florida blood donation center, has put out a call for donors. It had an urgent need for O-negative blood. On Tuesday, the city of Margate will hold a blood drive from 10 a.m.-5 p.m at Margate City Hall. Preregiste­r online at OneBlood.org/donate-now. Buy a T-shirt. The Parkland PTA/PTO has organized a fundraiser selling T-shirts online. Proceeds will go to the victims’ families, first responders and the Stoneman Douglas High School Memorial Fund. Call 833-472-7552.

Send students to Washington. A GoFundMe account has been set up for Marjory Stoneman Douglas students to fly to the nation’s capital to speak with the Senate about having a hearing on gun control.

Douglas High School track and field team plans to have a School Spirit Tastes Great Fundraiser for the team and to honor athletic directors Chris Hixon and Aaron Feis. It will take place from 4-8 p.m. on March 18 at Chipotle Mexican Grill, 4600 N. University Drive, Coral Springs.

Walk for a cause . The Bobby Resciniti Healing Hearts Foundation offers free help to parents who suffer the loss of a child, siblings and other types of losses. The Foundation plans a Healing Hearts Angel Walk on April 22 at Quiet Waters Park, 401 S. Powerline Road in Deerfield. Registrati­on begins at 11 a.m. and the walk at 1 p.m. Nicholas Paul Dworet official donation page. The family has set up a donation page for TS Aquatics, which is starting a foundation in Nicholas’ name called “Swim For Nick” #Swim4Nick. He was captain of his high school’s swim team.
