■ TWINS: 1B Logan Morrison agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million contract with the Twins, ESPN reported. The deal includes a vesting option with escalators and performanc­e bonuses and could be worth $16.5 million over two years. Morrison, 30, hit .246 with a career-high 38 HRs, 85 RBIs and 81 walks last season for the Rays.

■ PHILLIES: 3B Will Middlebroo­ks broke his left leg in a collision with LF Andrew Pullin during Saturday’s exhibition against the Orioles, the Phillies announced Sunday. Middlebroo­ks’ left ankle needs further evaluation. There wasn’t a timetable yet for his recovery.

■ REDS: OF Ben Revere agreed to a minor league deal with the Reds, FanRag Sports reported. The deal would be worth between $1 million and $1.5 million if he makes the team, and includes an invite to major league camp. Revere, 29, hit .275 with one HR, 20 RBIs and 21 steals in 109 games last season for the Angels.

■ CARDINALS: RHP Daniel Poncedeleo­n returned to the mound Sunday for the first time in a competitiv­e setting since being hit on the right temple by a line drive in a minor league game May 9 and undergoing emergency surgery to alleviate pressure on his brain. Poncedeleo­n, 26, allowed one run on three hits, striking out two and walking two in two innings against the Astros.

■ EXTRA INNINGS: Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw retired the first three Mariners hitters before heading to the bullpen and throwing another 15 pitches or so in a simulated inning. The Mariners won the exhibition 2-0 . ... In his first spring action, Bryce Harper went 0-for-3 as the Nationals beat the Braves 9-3 . ... RHP Gerrit Cole struck out two in two perfect innings in his debut for the Astros, who downed the Cardinals 7-3.
