ZZ Top, John Fogerty coming to West Palm
Blues-rock titans ZZ Top and John Fogerty will join forces for a summer tour stopping June 3 at Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach.
Tickets will cost $18.50-$138.50 and go on sale 10 a.m. Friday at LiveNation.com. Tickets also will be available via a series of fan club and Live Nation presales beginning 10 a.m. today.
The Blues and Bayous Tour brings together two Rock and Roll Hall of Fame acts inspired by the fertile headwaters of Texas blues and swamp boogie and roots rock.
As a co-founder of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty’s 50-year career has included classic hits including “Born on the Bayou,” “Green River,” “Proud Mary” and “Bad Moon Rising.” Rolling Stone has Fogerty on its Top 100 lists of greatest guitarists, songwriters and singers.
Fogerty is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Baseball Hall of Fame, for his song “Centerfield.”
ZZ Top is Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard, as they have been since their 1973 breakout album, “Tres Hombres,” which gave us “La Grange,” “Jesus Just Left Chicago” and “Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers.”
“ZZ Top is one of my favorite bands, and Billy F. Gibbons is one of my alltime favorite guitarists,” Fogerty said in a statement about the tour. “Riffs, blues and bayous ... bucket list!”
