Mike Evans joined the company as area sales director of the west. Evans was previously vice president of sales for Professional Eyecare Resource Co-Operative, a doctor alliance group with 4,000 members, and Infinity Vision Alliance. Additionally, Brad Amstutz, who managed the company’s mid-Atlantic sales team, has been promoted to area sales director of the east. He joined the company in January 2017 as a regional sales manager for the mid-Atlantic sales team. Glenn Senese, who formerly held the east sales director role, will move to the new position of director of new business development. Senese joined ABB OPTICAL in 2013 from Bausch + Lomb, where he was sales director for the eastern United States.

Melissa Leamon to administrative director of clinical operations. Leamon previously was director of the intensive care unit. Before joining Good Samaritan, Leamon was clinical manager of the neuro ICU at sister hospital Delray Medical Center.

Larry Blocker has joined the audio visual production and staging services company, Media Stage, as vice president and general manager. In the past, Blocker worked as a freelance consultant. He also worked for the Miami Marlins as the senior director, game presentation and events for 10 years; and with the Miami Heat for 13 years as director, game presentation and events.
Education
Former Congressman Patrick Murphy has been named a senior fellow at Florida International University’s Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs, where he will assist the Jack D. Gordon Institute for Public Policy with the launch of a new public policy fellowship. Senior fellows at the Green School devote their two-year residence to research, teaching and the creation of new engagement opportunities for students. The fellowship, expected to begin this fall, will be a multidisciplinary workforce development initiative designed to combine academics with mentorship, public policy research, and professional development and internship opportunities. In 2017, Murphy joined the nonprofit Future Forum Foundation as chairman.
David Rutherford has joined Palm Beach State College in the newly created position of vice president of advancement, from Florida Atlantic University, where he has worked since July 2005, most recently as vice president for principal gifts and gift planning.

Simon announced that Sean Carroll was recently appointed general manager of Coral Square Mall. Carroll started his career with the company in 2011. He has worked at Treasure Coast Mall, Coconut Point Mall and most recently as director of marketing and business development at Town Center at Boca Raton.
