■ YANKEES: Free agent INF Neil Walker agreed to a one-year, $4 million contract, a a deal that allows prospects Gleyber Torres and Miguel Andujar more time to mature in the minor leagues. Walker, who likely will start at second base, hit .265 with 14 homers and 49 RBIs last season for the Mets and Brewers.

■ ATHLETICS: C Jonathan Lucroy finalized a one-year, $6.5 million contract with the club. Lucroy, 31, hit .265 with six home runs and 40 RBIs in 123 games last season between the Rangers and Rockies. Bruce Maxwell had been the projected starter before the acquisitio­n of Lucroy.

■ TWINS: The team finalized a one-year, $12 million deal with RHP Lance Lynn, another patient, low-risk move toward strengthen­ing their pitching staff. He’ll join fellow newcomer Jake Odorizzi in the rotation. After missing the 2016 season following elbow surgery, Lynn went 11-8 with a 3.43 ERA in 33 starts for the Cardinals in 2017.

■ BREWERS: RHP Chase Anderson will start on opening day on March 29 against the Padres. Anderson, 30, had the best season of his four-year career in 2017, going 12-4 with a 2.74 ERA in 25 starts.

■ EXTRA INNINGS: The Rockies finalized a one-year, $5 million contract to bring back three-time All-Star OF and popular clubhouse leader Carlos Gonzalez. Gonzalez had a $20 million salary last year in the final season of a seven-year, $80 million contract . ... Mariners 2B Robinson Cano will be out five to seven days after an MRI revealed a Grade 1 strain of his left hamstring . ... Blue Jays RHP Marcus Stroman was ruled out of being the team’s opening-day starter because of shoulder inflammati­on . ... RHP Bartolo Colon could be pitching his way into the Rangers’ rotation at 44. He has a 1.04 ERA in his first three starts in spring training.
