Arc Broward has named Juan Peralta as executive chef of their social enterprise, Arc Culinary. Peralta will oversee catering of the Grand Ballroom at the Sunrise Civic Center where the Arc Culinary team hosts different type of celebrations from weddings to corporate gatherings. Peralta joined the culinary division three years ago as sous chef. Peralta began his career as a line cook at Neiman Marcus’ Mariposa restaurant before working as sous chef at Icebox Café. Revenues generated from catering services directly support job training and placement programs for individuals with disabilities and other life challenges. The Rhythm Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of Par Neiburger as artistic director. Neiburger had been based in New York where he led the artistic programming for World Music Institute as artistic director since 2014. The Rhythm Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 1988 based in Miami Beach that increases international awareness through live music. Miami’s New World Symphony is electing Dr. Judith Rodin to join its board of trustees.

Costa Hollywood Beach Resort has announced
Carlos Molinet as general manager and Jeffrey
Peterson as director of sales and marketing. The resort is set to open this spring. Molinet was previously senior vice president of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. Peterson was previously director of sales and marketing at Sheraton Suites Fort Lauderdale and Surfcomber South Beach, as well as area director of travel industry Sales for EPIC Miami, Surfcomber and Vero Beach Hotel & Spa. Peterson also filled sales and marketing roles at Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, DoubleTree Guest Suites and DoubleTree Oceanfront Hotel. Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada has appointed Chef Phillip Lowd as the executive chef of the property’s reimagined signature restaurants, Atlantic’s Edge and Nikai Sushi Bar, as well as the newly debuted Neapolitan Italian Bistro, Mia Cucina. Lowd has over nine years’ experience on property, where he formerly worked as banquet chef. The destination, which has been closed due to Hurricane Irma, is scheduled to reopen March 30.
Jazmin Robles has returned to Blade and Vida, as general manager, at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Robles previously worked in 2012, as assistant manager at Blade and Vida at the destination venue. Robles began her hospitality career working at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach and later Loews Miami Beach. Later, she held positions of food and beverage supervisor/ banquet and catering coordinator at the Westin Colonnade in Coral Gables. Auberge Resorts Collection, owner and operator of small luxury resorts, residences and clubs, has named Tim Arnold as general manager of Auberge Beach Residences & Spa Fort Lauderdale. Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach, a DoubleTree by Hilton, promoted Lisa Namour to general manager. Namour first joined Bahia Mar as its sales and marketing director in 2015.
