Both sides in gun debate guilty of bad talking points

constant TV gigs. The words to learn are “heal” and “help others” and have some “respect” because someday you will be an adult.

Anyone has the right to bear arms to protect themselves and no one is going to change that either today, tomorrow or in the future. Assault rifles and the bump stocks certainly should not be allowed, but to defend and protect our families, our right to bear arms will always be in the majority.

Consider the incident in a Maryland school recently where a resource officer responded to a shooter and saved many lives. He saved those lives because he had a gun and his mission was to protect those around him and stop the violence, and he did it in a heartbeat.

Kate Phelan, Boca Raton held around the country which you inspired. Persevere in doing good. Thank you for speaking out. You are inspiring to those who are following you. There are many people who are inspired by your actions. I am one of them. Thank you.

In regard to Fred Grimm’s Sunday column “Far right attacks Parkland gun control activists with smears, lies,” wouldn’t it be fair to say that the smears and lies started from the students’ side? Accusing the NRA from the get-go of having the moral equivalent of the Parkland shooter? Accusing every gun owner, yes every gun owner, of being an accomplice in the mass shooting? Calling the NRA a terrorist organization? Sorry Fred, but both sides are throwing bombs and not talking about real solutions. Pretty sad.
