MIAMI — If nothing else, the Miami Heat made their points in March.

With Saturday’s 110-109 overtime loss to the Brooklyn Nets at AmericanAirlines Arena, the Heat wound up with the highest-scoring month in the franchise’s history, averaging 111.7 points over the 16 games.

The scoring has been built on balance, the Heat with seven players scoring in double figures in Saturday’s loss.

“Those are the ingredients of a great offense,” Spoelstra said, “not just sitting around, watching somebody else shoot.”

The Heat have scored at least 90 points in 26 consecutive games, tying the third longest such streak in team history.

The last game the Heat did not score at least 90 points was in a 91-89 Jan. 31 loss in Cleveland. The franchise

The Nets on Sunday prevented the Heat from clinching a playoff berth for the second night in a row.
