Welcome to Hot Plates, a weekly listing of upcoming food events in South Florida.

Salud! Jackson Hall, a health-minded food court in Miami’s Jackson Medical District from the founder of the Wynwood Yard, held a grand-opening celebratio­n Tuesday. Located on the second floor of the Civica Center, 1050 NW 14th St., it is being billed as the first wellness-focused food hall in a public health space. Six eateries will debut, including second locations of Della Bowls and Charcoal, which were launched by Della Heiman at Wynwood Yard. Other stalls include Levante, a Middle Eastern eatery serving kebabs, shawarma and mezze; Little Island, featuring Hawaiian poke bowls; Leo & Bloom Delicatess­en, a modern deli with lighter fare; and Petit Marché, an artisanal market with grab-and-go items.

The food hall will also feature Radiate Apothecary + Bar, with juices, smoothies, elixirs and kombucha.

Tacos in Trumplandi­a: Coyo Taco, a casual Mexican eatery that started in artsy Wynwood, opened its newest location this week on the island of Palm Beach, at 340 Royal Poinciana Way.

Subs in Sailboat Bend: Subs and Suds, a sandwich and beer eatery from Memphis Garrett (Poke House), opened this week in the Sailboat Bend/ Riverside Park neighborho­od of Fort Lauderdale, at 601 SW 12th Ave.

Serfer and Turf: Byblos, 1545 Collins Ave., in Miami Beach, will hold a special chef ’s dinner featuring Danny Serfer (Blue Collar, Mignonette) from 6 to 10 p.m. today. Tickets cost $70 per person, plus tax, tip and optional $35 wine supplement.

Sip and slurp: The Apothecary, 330 SW Second St., in Fort Lauderdale, will host an oysters-and-whiskey event from 8 to 10 p.m. Thursday. Tickets cost $40 and include several varieties of oysters and Jura Scotch Whisky.

Happy anniversar­y: Matchbox Vintage Pizza Bistro at Sawgrass Mills, 1860 Sawgrass Mills Circle, in Sunrise, celebrates its first anniversar­y with special menu items through Sunday. Diners who mention the anniversar­y will receive a free dessert.

Las Olas Wine and Food Festival: More than 50 South Florida restaurant­s and dozens of wineries from around the world will be offering sips and bites at the 23rd annual Las Olas Wine and Food Festival in Fort Lauderdale on Friday. Tickets cost $150. The event will take place 7-10:30 p.m. on a five-block stretch of East Las Olas Boulevard (600-1000 block).

Chef ’s dinner in Boca: Mobu Fusion Cafe, 1159 S. Federal Highway, in Boca Raton, from chef-owner Monique Buchbinder, will hold a $95 special tasting dinner at 7 p.m. Friday.
