- Doreen Christensen

Now that the snowbirds have finally flown the coop, it’s our turn to enjoy the good life in South Florida. New programs to save on fun at local attractions and cultural institutions in the tricounty area are kicking off in May.

Enjoy free admission and discounts at Palm Beach Zoo, Mounts Botanical Garden, shows at the Kravis Center and other Palm Beach County attractions with a new arts promotion running Tuesday through May 31.

Pick up a Culture Coupon Card at visitor information centers around the county to save during “MOSAIC” (Month of Shows, Art, Ideas and Culture), operated in partnership with Discover the Palm Beaches and the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Here are highlights: Free admission with purchase at Mounts Botanical Garden in West Palm Beach, the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium in West Palm Beach and at all concerts at the Arts Garage in Delray Beach. There’s also a BOGO deal on tickets to “Equus” onstage May 18-31 at Palm Beach Dramaworks.

Free entry for two at the Cornell Art Museum in Old School Square in Downtown Delray.

50 percent off select tickets to “Always and Forever” featuring Ruben Studdard or ventriloquist Terry Fator appearing at the Kravis Center using coupon code Kravis50.

Save $5 on regular admission for up to four at the Palm Beach Zoo in West Palm Beach and on walking tours at City Place. That would be a good excuse to take the zippy Brightline train from Fort Lauderdale to West Palm Beach, if you haven’t yet.

There are more offers. Pick up Coupon Cards at Town Center at Boca Raton, the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce and visitor-information centers in Lake Worth and West Palm Beach, among other locations listed at the link below.
