New regional baseball schedule after Tuesday postponements

- By David Furones Staff writer

DAVIE — While Benjamin clinched a state berth in Class 4A with a regional final victory over American Heritage-Delray, weather didn’t allow much else to be played in what was scheduled to be a big Tuesday in postseason high school baseball.

Jupiter was hosting Palm Beach Central in a Class 9A regional semifinal, but a rain delay with the Warriors up 4-0 in the top of the fourth inning will postpone the remainder until today at 5 p.m.

Calvary Christian had home-field advantage in a 4A regional final but opted to give it up to play on Tuesday. After two delays at Miami Florida Christian, the game will be postponed to today at 4 p.m. — and back at Calvary.
