Marlins RHP Jose Ureña (0-6, 4.38 ERA, 1.247 WHIP) vs. Braves LHP Sean Newcomb (4-1, 2.51 ERA, 1.157 WHIP): Maybe the 10th time is the charm for Ureña, who is still looking for his first win of the season despite mostly steady performances. The Marlins are 0-9 in games Ureña starts, but the Marlins are giving him just 2.33 runs of support per game, which would be the lowest figure since the Marlins entered baseball in 1993. Last time out, Ureña was respectable, giving up three runs in six innings to Atlanta. … Originally scheduled to start Friday’s game, Newcomb was pushed back a day when the Braves were rained out on Thursday. He’s been one of Atlanta’s best pitchers this season, helping guide the Braves to the top of the National League East. His last outing was against the Marlins on Sunday, when he extended his scoreless streak to 20 innings by tossing six innings of one-hit ball. Newcomb has not allowed a run since April 26
