Hernandez, anointed a starter when the Marlins shifted Jarlin Garcia to the bullpen in an effort to preserve innings, is looking for his first career win. Hernandez labored through five innings in his last start Sunday against Washington, allowing six hits and a home run. He limited the damage to two runs. Hernandez is a Rule 5 pick. … Buchholz, the former Red Sox pitcher, began the season in the minor leagues with Kansas City but will make his third major league start of the season on Friday night against the Marlins. Buchholz only made two starts last season, when he tore a tendon in his right forearm. In his first two starts this season with Arizona, Buchholz has been solid, but not dominant.
