AROUND THE HORN

Nationals: RHP Stephen Strasburg, who left Friday’s start after two innings, will go on the disabled list with right shoulder inflammation, manager Dave Martinez said. He said there was no timetable for Strasburg’s return. Strasburg, who underwent an MRI on Saturday morning, has been on the DL six times over the last four seasons.

Brewers: Ji-Man Choi hit a go-ahead, pinch-hit grand slam in the sixth inning, and 1B Jesus Aguilar and 2B Jonathan Villar also went deep for the Brewers in a 12-3 victory over the Phillies. Aguilar added a double and finished with three RBIs and Christian Yelich had three hits for the Brewers, who have outscored the Phillies 24-7 in the series’ first two games to keep hold of first place in the National League Central.

Yankees: RHP Masahiro Tanaka was put on the 10-day DL, a day after he strained both hamstrings running the bases during the Subway Series opener against the Mets. Tanaka is 7-2 with a 4.58 ERA in 13 starts. INF Ronald Torreyes was recalled from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre of the Triple-A International League.

White Sox: LHP Carlos Rodon made his season debut in Boston after returning from a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte. He started the year on the DL after undergoing surgery on his left shoulder in September.

Cubs: LHP Jon Lester combined with relievers Justin Wilson and Steve Cishek on a one-hitter, and the Cubs took advantage of a first-inning slip by Pirates OF Starling Marte to earn a 2-0 victory, their 11th win in 13 games. Lester struck out five and walked two in seven innings, allowing only a two-out triple to OF Austin Meadows in the third.

Blue Jays: C Luke Maile drove in the winning run by drawing a bases-loaded walk on four pitches in the 10th inning as the Blue Jays defeated the Orioles 4-3. OF Randal Grichuk homered and 2B Yangervis Solarte added two hits and an RBI for the Blue Jays, who improved to 7-1 in extra-inning games.
