Padres LHP Clayton Richard (4-6, 4.67 ERA, 1.296 WHIP) vs. Marlins RHP Jose Ureña (1-7, 4.60 ERA, 1.238 WHIP): The Marlins wrap up their 25th anniversary celebrations when Ureña takes the hill for Miami on Sunday against the Padres. Ureña finally picked up his first win of the season Tuesday in St. Louis, despite allowing a season-high 10 hits. The win snapped a 14-game losing streak by the Marlins in games Ureña started, a franchise record. Ureña nearly won his first game this year when he faced the Padres on May 30, when he threw six innings of one-run ball. But Brad Ziegler blew the save in the bottom of the ninth inning, preventing Ureña from winning. … Richard pitched well against Ureña and the Marlins on May 30, yielding only two runs in seven innings of work. The lone blemish was Starlin Castro’s two-run home run in the fourth inning. In seven career starts against the Marlins, Richard has a 2.67 ERA. … Marlins alumni will play a softball game at 11:30 a.m.
