NBA: The Pistons hired Dwane Casey as their new coach. Casey, fired by the Raptors at the end of the regular season despite a team-record 59 wins and earning the top seed in the East, got a five-year contract . ... Warriors GM Bob Myers expects swift negotiatio­ns to re-sign F Kevin Durant and coach Steve Kerr. Durant could sign for as long as four years and about $160 million. Kerr has one year left on his five-year contract.

NFL: Falcons All-Pro WR Julio Jones will not attend mandatory minicamp this week. Jones, who signed a five-year, $71.2 million extension in 2015, is unhappy with his contract . ... The Giants signed DT Jarron Jones and DB Kenneth Durden.
