On June 2, Suarez shut out the Phillies for seven innings on three hits. He lasted only 4 1/3 innings in his last outing, giving up four runs and six hits to the Nationals. … Smith has had his ups and downs, but over his past seven starts he has a 3.16 ERA and 1.14 WHIP.
