Maxi Priest and Ky-Mani Marley headline Caribbean festival in Lauderhill

Maxi Priest and KyMani Marley are just two of the acts taking the stage at the Publix Caribbean Village Festival in Lauderhill Sunday.

In all, there are more than 13 music performers scheduled, including Alison Hinds, Kevin Lyttle, Papa Keith, Julien Believe, Mikaben and Shurwayne Winchester.

The event is also known for its island cuisine with vendors offering jerk, curry, vegetarian and seafood dishes.

Gates open at 1 p.m. at the Lauderhill Sports Park, 7500 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Lauderhill. Parking at the venue is $20. Tickets are $33 general admission in advance; $150 VIP (children under the age of 12 and accompanie­d by an adult are admitted for free). To order, go to CaribbeanV­illage.net.
