Marlins at Rockies
When/where: 3:10 p.m., Coors Field, Denver ON THE AIR
TV: Fox Sports Florida; Radio: 940-AM, 710-AM (Spanish) On the mound Marlins RHP Trevor Richards (1-4, 5.45 ERA, 1.53 WHIP) vs. Rockies LHP Tyler Anderson (4-2, 4.52, 1.31): Richards has yet to win a road start in his five opportunities and has accumulated a 7.40 ERA away from Marlins Park. Richards’ last road start against the Orioles certainly didn’t help those stats, as he only lasted 3 1⁄3 innings, giving up six runs and nine hits before being pulled. Since returning from Triple-A New Orleans on June 7, Richards had been pitching well, giving up three earned runs in five innings against the Cardinals and one earned run in six innings against the Giants before blowing up in Baltimore. … Anderson, on the other hand, has been worse pitching at home than on the road. In six starts at Coors Field, he’s 1-2 with a 5.13 ERA and has given up eight home runs. His home run rate of 1.58 homers per nine innings is the 15th worst in the majors. Anderson has strung together some good starts, as he’s given up three runs in each of his past three games, although two of those starts were on the road, where his ERA is a full run lower, at 4.08.
Of note: The Marlins on Friday placed RHP José Ureña on the 10-day disabled list (retroactive to June 21) with right shoulder impingement, and returned from rehab and reinstated RHP Nick Wittgren from 10-day DL.
