Here’s what will be open and closed in Broward, Palm Beach and MiamiDade counties for Independen­ce Day on Wednesday.

Broward County

Government/Schools

• Federal, state, county and municipal offices will be closed.

• Public schools, colleges and universiti­es will be closed.

• The Circuit and County Courts and the Administra­tive Office of the Courts will be closed. Services

• Banks, stock markets and post offices will be closed. There will be no regular mail delivery.

• Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Center will be closed. In the event of animal attack or bite, call 911. For lost or found cats or dogs, call 954-359-1313, ext. 9273

• The Broward County Landfill at 7101 SW 205th Ave., Fort Lauderdale, will be closed

• There will be garbage pickup.

Entertainm­ent

• The county library system will be closed.

• Broward County regional and neighborho­od parks, nature centers and natural areas will be open with the exception of Deerfield Island Park, which will be closed per normal operating schedule. Transporta­tion

• Public schools, colleges and universiti­es will be closed.

• Courts will be open. Services

• Banks, stock markets and post offices will be closed.

• There will be no regular mail delivery.

• In unincorpor­ated Palm Beach County there will be garbage collection Entertainm­ent

• The county library system will be closed.

• County parks will be open.

Transporta­tion

• Palm Tran will be closed.
