■ Twins: SS Jorge Polanco returned following his 80-game suspension for testing positive for a performanc­e-enhancing drug. The Twins also recalled RHP Zack Littell from Triple-A Rochester. OF Byron Buxton returned from his rehab assignment and was sent to Rochester. Polanco had a breakout 2017, batting .316 with 10 homers and 42 RBIs over his last 55 games.

■ Indians: RHP Danny Salazar will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery. The team said Salazar had an arthroscop­ic debridemen­t and bursectomy. He will not be able to throw for at least three months while he recovers and there is no definitive timetable on when he’ll pitch again. Salazar, 28, who hasn’t pitched this season, went 5-6 with a 4.28 ERA in 19 starts last season.

■ Athletics: C Bruce Maxwell was sentenced to two years of probation on a disorderly conduct charge. His sentencing came nearly three months after he pleaded guilty to the charge in a gun-related incident. Police said Maxwell had pointed a handgun at a woman who delivered food to his home in Scottsdale, Ariz., in October.

■ Tigers: Jose Iglesias hit a tiebreakin­g sacrifice fly in the 10th inning in a 3-2 victory over the Blue Jays — the Tigers’ second straight win following a season-long 11-game losing streak . ... RHP Shane Greene (shoulder) and OF Leonys Martin (hamstring) were placed the 10-day DL.

■ Brewers: The team selected the contract of INF Nate Orf from Triple-A Colorado Springs, optioned RHP Aaron Wilkerson to Colorado Springs and transferre­d INF/OF Nick Franklin (quad) to the 60-day DL.

■ Mariners: The team plans to monitor RHP Felix Hernandez and his back stiffness over the next few days. Hernandez pitched five innings Saturday night and earned the victory over the Royals but struggled with back pain and wasn’t able to sit down in the dugout between innings.
