Bullets flew from a car in Miramar late Monday striking three people including a teenage boy who was killed, police said.

The drive-by shooting happened about 9:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the Foxcroft Condominiums at 3195 Foxcroft Road, near the intersection of Miramar Parkway and Douglas Road.

Two adults were also hit by gunfire as they were getting out of a car with the 17-year-old. All three were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood where the teenager died, police said. The conditions of the two adults were not immedi-

ately known.

Police towed a white car from the parking lot before dawn Tuesday as some residents were preparing to go to work. A few said they heard the gunshots late Monday night but thought it was someone celebrating the Fourth of July early.

“I thought it was fireworks,”

said Kiyha Thomas, who discovered her silvergray Hyundai Accent had been hit by stray gunfire. Two bullet holes were in the rear driver’s side window and one in the rear passenger side window. Tinting-film held the shattered back seat windows together.

Thomas said she didn’t know any of the victims because she just moved to South Florida from Atlanta.

“I’m ready to go back

after this,” she said.

Police are searching for the shooter and the getaway car but they have no description of either.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this triple shooting to contact Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-8477 or online at browardcrimestoppers.org. Anonymous tips leading to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
