Catch a live demo of Magic Leap’s first product — or at least an element of it — during a special presentation at 2 p.m. today on Twitch.tv.

Via its official Magic Leap Twitter account, the company posted the announcement last week: “On our next episode of #magicleaplive, we’ll dive into some Magic Leap One specs and share a demo … ”

The demo for Magic Leap One was confirmed by a spokesman for the Plantation company, who said he could provide no further information about sales or shipment of its first product. “At this time, that’s all we can share,” he said.

Magic Leap One is a wearable computer that combines Magic Leap’s “Digital Lightfield” technology, visual perception and machine learning. The secretive technology company has been doling out glimpses of its first product on “Magic Leap Live” sessions via Twitch.tv.

In replies to the tweet about the new demo, posts make fun of Magic Leap’s last demo, which was disappointing to some.

“Let’s hope it’s not something as dumb as the last livestream. It was pretty much a non-event. I really want this to be successful and awesome,” one tweet from a Magic Leap follower in Brooklyn, N.Y., says.

Yet a more revealing demo of the much-anticipated Magic Leap One could be a sign of progress for the company that has raised a lot of money without yet producing a product.

Magic Leap has topped venture capital lists in Florida, with total investments of more than $2 billion from companies including Google, Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba, and most recently, the Public Investment Fund, an investment arm of Saudi Arabia.

The company was founded in 2011 by local entrepreneur Rony Abovitz, and in the past year moved into a former Motorola plant space in Plantation. Local and state government have pledged $9 million in incentives for Magic Leap’s $150 million capital investment in its headquarters and the creation of at least 725 jobs.

Magic Leap also has locations in Los Angeles; Sunnyvale, Calif.; Seattle; Austin; Dallas; as well as in Switzerland, New Zealand and Israel.
