Confronting in public not always an aggressive act
A lot of readers have been reacting negatively to the idea of confronting people in a public forum. Just as there is a difference between being assertive and being aggressive, there is a difference between confronting and harassing.
If I assertively confront someone in public, this does not result in “shards of glass litter- ing the streets.” I am saying what I have to say, hopefully in a respectful manner. I am a firm believer in letting our leaders know where we stand and where we disagree with their stances. This is especially the case when it affects many people negatively.
