Brewers 1B Jesus Aguilar and Mariners SS Jean Segura won the final vote for the last spot on the All-Star rosters. Aguilar entered Wednesday tied with the Rockies’ Nolan Arenado for the NL lead with 23 home runs. Segura was fourth in the AL with a .329 batting average. ... MLB added Dodgers RHP Ross Stripling to the NL roster to replace the Cubs’ Jon Lester, who is scheduled to pitch the Sunday before the All-Star Game.
