A brief encounter at a popular pizza joint in Savannah, Ga., got a Florida man slammed into the restaurant’s wall and then landed him in jail on a sexual battery charge, according to news reports.

Video from inside the restaurant, Vinnie Van Go Go’s, shows a man identified as Ryan Cherwinski, 31, of Palm Bay in Brevard County, walking past the back of a female server and using his left hand to touch her backside.

The incident happened about 11 p.m. on June 30, the Savannah Morning News reported.

The woman allegedly touched by Cherwinski wasn’t having any of it.

The video, which landed on the social media aggregation site, Reddit, shows the restaurant employee going after Cherwinski, grabbing the back collar of his red T-shirt, putting him in a headlock and then throwing him down into a wall.

The woman, 21-year-old college student Emelia Holden, told Inside Edition she didn’t give her actions much thought while reacting to what happened.

“I just did it. I didn’t even know I could do that. I don’t care who you are. You have no right to disrespect me,” she told the entertainment program.

In the Savannah police arrest report, Cherwinski told investigators that what happened was an “accident” and he touched the server in an effort to move her out of his way, WSAV television reported.

The video of the incident has had millions of views since it was posted on the Justice Served area of Reddit and has generated numerous responses.

“Dude got what he deserved,” one comment on the site said.

For her part, Holden has received support by people who have called her or posted comments on her Facebook page. She told WFSA television she’s gratified by the responses and hopes the incident can help other women.

“Recently, there’s the whole #metoo movement, and I think that’s really great,” she told the station.

“You have every right to stand up for yourself no matter who it is. No one has the right to put their hands on you.”

Cherwinski spent two nights in jail before being released on a bond of $2,500, court records show.
