CORAL GABLES — Palm Beach Central fourstar wide receiver Bryan Robinson committed to the Miami Hurricanes shortly before drills began at Paradise Camp on Saturday night.

Robinson let Mark Richt know of his decision, watched the camp and announced it on Twitter on Sunday following Richt’s signature recruiting event as coach of the Hurricanes.

“I told Mark Richt I was committed. Just like that,” Robinson said. “He was like, ‘You made my day better.’

“My class, I feel like we’re going to do something special. … That we can win a championship.”

Robinson said conversations with current Miami safety Gurvan Hall, a former Palm Beach Gardens standout, and wide receivers coach Ron Dugans made a strong impression on him, on top of speaking with current commits.

“I feel like [Dugans is] a hands-on coach. He’ll show you everything,” said Robinson, who left before 7-on-7 drills that wrapped up the camp. “I just feel like he’s a good coach, period. He has a background of producing kids to the league and getting kids through college with a degree.”

Robinson, at 6 foot 2, is ranked the nation’s 17th wide receiver in the 2020 class. As a sophomore, he was an instrumental piece on a Broncos team that went 9-3 and reached regional semifinals, racking up 29 receptions for 493 yards and five touchdowns last season.

Robinson had other offers from Florida, Florida State, Georgia and Penn State.

The Hurricanes got three other 2020 commits on Friday night — all from South Dade in offensive lineman Jonathan Denis, athlete Keshawn Washington and defensive back Jaiden Francois. The four additions to the class at Paradise Camp ups the Hurricanes to 12 commits in 2020 for what is considered the No. 1 recruiting class for that cycle early on.

On Saturday night, UM picked up a 2021 commitment from Miami Booker T. Washington defensive end Donell Harris for a total of five over the weekend.
