Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center announced that Alex Rosenberg has been named managing director of the Boca Raton Jewish Film Festival, which was recently renamed as the Judy Levis Markhoff Boca Raton Jewish Film Festival. Rosenberg was previously donor relations manager for the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. Miami City Ballet announced the appointment of AnaMaria Correa as the ballet company’s new senior director of community engagement, from Avenues: The World School, where she was director of community engagement and inclusion since 2016. Cynthia Kanai has been named chief executive officer for the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens in West Palm Beach, effective Sept. 17. Kanai spent 28 years at Palm Beach Day Academy, most recently as the development director and prior to that, as lead fifth-grade teacher. SouthTech Schools has named Maynard
Harvey as the first principal of the SouthTech Success Center, in Boynton Beach.

Office Depot Inc. has appointed Timothy J. Perrott as vice president of investor relations. Perrott joins the company from CommandScape, a building services technology company, where he was most recently chief financial officer and head of investor relations. Richard Leland, vice president of finance and treasurer, who also previously was head of investor relations, will maintain responsibility for treasury and risk management.
Animal welfare
Wendy Derhak has founded The Pet Cottage, a sanctuary that provides guardianship for pets that have lost their humans due to death, disability, or military deployment, in Jupiter. She previously owned WD Fitness in which she provided in-home fitness training to senior citizens. She was previously executive director of a nonprofit child-care center on the campus at the University of New Hampshire.

Pam Swensen, of Let’s Talk Golf, has joined the board of directors of Clinics Can Help, an organization dedicated to bringing medical equipment and supplies to those in need. Swensen, a professional golf industry executive, speaker, author and expert in women’s golf, has led the Executive Women’s Golf Association for 15 years.
Palm Healthcare Foundation has promoted
Jeff Groves to director of philanthropy. Attorney Richard A. Ryles was recently named president of the Democratic Black Caucus of Palm Beach County. Ryles is a shareholder with West Palm Beach-based Rosenthal, Levy, Simon & Ryles. Families First of Palm Beach County has appointed Marie-Ignace G. Morel, M.D., the director of the Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Palm Beach County, to its foundation board of directors. She is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine. Currently she is practicing at Perinatal and Gynecologic Specialists of the Palm Beaches Inc.

Palm Beach State College has named
Michael Pustizzi executive director of human resources. Most recently, Pustizzi was the vice president of human resources for network operations for Univision Communications Inc. Prior to Univision, he Pustizzi held several human resources leadership roles at the Comcast NBCUniversal Stations Group and the Telemundo Network for 15 years.
Lori-Ann Cox was named chief executive officer for Breakthrough Miami, dedicated to supporting motivated students from underresourced communities to complete high school and pursue post-secondary opportunities that put them on a trajectory to becoming our future leaders. Most recently, Cox was executive director of external affairs at Gulliver.
Gulliver has announced the addition of Jay
Goulart as vice president for institutional advancement, from Tampa Prep, where he was director of development since 2013.

Erik Hurvitz joined the Academy for Addiction Professionals in Fort Lauderdale as the education liaison. His role is to connect people to resources for enhancing careers through education, training, and certification in all areas of behavioral health including addiction treatment, mental health centers, psychiatric institutions, law enforcement, hospitals and medical facilities, and assisted living facilities.

Daniel Chardon has recently been appointed as MyPark’s new chief technology officer, a parking solutions and technology company that allows for the monetization and control of premium parking spaces at high-traffic, high-value spots. Chardon worked for eight years with Integration Technologies Corp. as the director of services and operations, and later as IT Strategic Partner for Banco Popular.
