The Rhythm Foundation’s fall concert schedule has been energized by three new shows featuring Omar Souleyman, Diego El Cigala and the innovative Hindu devotional music of Alice Coltrane, performed by the Sai Anantam Singers.

These performances join three previously announced acts on the organization’s fall schedule: Diogo Nogueira (Sept. 8, Mizner Park Amphitheater, Boca Raton), Juana Molina (Sept. 22, North Beach Bandshell, Miami Beach) and Youssou N’Dour (Oct. 26, Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Miami).

The nonprofit Rhythm Foundation is now in its fourth decade of adventurous booking of acts from around the globe, with a special focus on artists and cultures that connect with South Florida audiences.

Tickets to all Rhythm Foundation shows can be found at RhythmFoundation.com.

Performances announced this week, include: Omar Souleyman, 8 p.m. Oct. 5, North

The evening, copresented with MDC Live Arts, includes an opening set by Richie Hell. Tickets cost $30 in advance or $35 at the door. Visit Soundcloud.com/Omar-Souleyman.

The late jazz pianist, composer, founder of the Shanti Anantam Ashram and wife of

saxophonist John Coltrane created music “wholly new, and completely her own. … a powerful and indelibly personal mix of the soulful gospel cadences that Coltrane had been steeped in since her churchgoing childhood in Detroit, and the brimming, collective energy of the call-and-response kirtans” heard at the ashram’s Sunday services (read more at NPR.com). Tickets cost $30 or $35 at the door. Visit AliceColtrane.com. Diego El Cigala, 8 p.m. Nov. 9, Fillmore

His Latin Grammynominated 2016 album, “Indestructible,” partially recorded in Miami, is a love letter to salsa stars Benny Moré, Antonio Machín and El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico.
