Dodgers: Closer Kenley Jansen is expected to stay home for a key weekend series with the Rockies after a team cardiologi­st recommende­d he not travel to Denver. Indians: Corey Kluber became the first 18-game winner in the majors this season, striking out 10 in the Indians’ 3-1 victory over the Royals in Cleveland. The Indians moved closer to the third straight AL Central title, reducing their magic number for clinching the division to nine. Kluber (18-7), the reigning AL Cy Young winner, allowed one run and two hits in 6 2 ⁄ innings. The reigning 3 AL Cy Young Award winner was pulled after 105 pitches. Jason Kipnis had the go-ahead sacrifice fly in the eighth and two hits.

Yankees: Luke Voit hit a tiebreakin­g HR in the eighth as the Yankees beat the host A’s in a matchup of the top-two AL wild-card teams Tuesday night.
