The 20th annual Medical Marijuana Concert is heading to Miami. The two-day, music and informational festival will take place Sept. 22- 23 at The Wow House, 3100 NW 7th Ave.

The annual cannabis concert has been held in other venues in Miami over the years, including The Wynwood Yard, Gramps and Tobacco Road.

This year’s event is hosted by NORML of Florida, which is the state chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, Ploppy Palace Productions and Modern Galaxy TV. It will feature local and regional musical acts including reggae band Inner Circle, psychedelic hip hop band Telekinetic Walrus and rock band SunGhosts.

In addition to the music, there will also be speakers, including South Miami vice mayor Walter Harris, Fort Lauderdale attorney Norm Kent, longtime medical marijuana patient Irv Rosenfeld and addiction specialist Jeffrey Kamlet. And there will be spoken word artists and dance performances and vendors.

The event is also being sponsored by medical marijuana brand Trulieve and New Belgium Brewing.

“By embracing the broad scope of cannabis in society, this showcase features an assortment of genres, mediums and demographics to help represent the widespread appeal of marijuana culture,” said the event’s founder Flash. “Medical Marijuana is about healthcare and protecting patients from misguided law enforcement.”

You must be 18 years old to attend the festival, which starts at 4:20 p.m. on Sept. 22.

Tickets start at $25. For more information, visit www.ploppypalace.com
