Peeper who leered through girl’s bedroom window sought by cops

The chilling images recorded through pre-dawn darkness on a Hollywood home’s security surveillan­ce system show a shadowy figure leering into a young girl’s bedroom window.

The grainy video appears show a man touching himself.

The lurking man was recorded at a home on the 6000 block of Funston Street beginning shortly before 5:30 a.m. on Sept. 19, according to Hollywood police.

The surveillan­ce video showed him pulling down his shorts and peering through the girl’s bedroom window for about eight minutes before running away — and passing in front of the surveillan­ce camera. to

He returned about five minutes later and looked through the window again before sitting down beneath it and smoking a cigarette for about two more minutes, the video showed.

Then, he is seen leaving property by jumping a fence.

Detectives have been reaching out to potential witnesses for informatio­n through the “Neighbors” crime reporting app, Officer Christian Lata said Thursday.

The voyeur is described as having a thin build, possibly 25 to 30 years old, with dark hair, a distinctiv­e hairline and full facial beard. He was last seen wearing a light-colored T-shirt, light-colored shorts, dark shoes and a baseball cap.

Miami Gardens police the have

been looking for a man fitting the same descriptio­n who was seen on surveillan­ce video peering through windows at young children Sept. 20.

“We are aware that Miami Gardens has a suspect that is very similar,” Lata said. “We can’t confirm it’s the same guy yet but it does look similar and we’re working it as a possible lead in our investigat­ion, as well.”
