The Atlantic football team continues to post impressive wins and continues to be the class of the county following a decisive 55-0 win over Spanish River.

With wins over three other top Palm Beach County teams, the Eagles have shown that they are still the team to beat right now. Atlantic will face Santaluces on Friday in a battle of teams undefeated in District 10-8A.

Here is a look at the top 10 high school teams in Palm Beach County according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

All games are at 6 p.m. Friday unless noted.

1. (1) ATLANTIC (5-0)

The Eagles are proving their doubters wrong after graduating most of their starting unit from last year’s Class 8A state runner-up team. Atlantic has cruised through the competitio­n with wins over Dwyer, Palm Beach Central, Pahokee, and Park Vista. Next: vs. Santaluces

2. (2) DWYER (5-1)

The Panthers manhandled host Olympic Heights with a stable of running backs that each found the end zone. It doesn’t get easier for Dwyer, as the Panthers face Wellington coming off a last-second win over previously undefeated Seminole Ridge. Next: at Wellington

3. (3) PALM BEACH CENTRAL (5-1)

The Broncos, riding a five-game win streak, are off this week following a rain-shortened drubbing of Boca Raton last week. Next: Bye

4. (4) PAHOKEE (3-2)

With narrow losses to Atlantic and Vero Beach, the Blue Devils appear to be back on track after doubling up Boynton Beach 47-23 last week. Next: at Palm Beach Gardens

5. (5) AMERICAN HERITAGE-DELRAY (5-0)

The Stallions have another difficult test this week as they travel to play University School in Davie. American Heritage is coming off an impressive 34-30 win on the road against Pensacola Catholic.

6. (8) WELLINGTON (4-2)

The Wolverines got an explosive performanc­e from MarkAntony Richards in a key come-from-behind District 9-8A win over rival Seminole Ridge. The Wolverines won on a Richards scoring run as time expired. And the No. 2 team is headed to town. Next: vs. Dwyer

7. (7) FOREST HILL (5-0)

Coming off a bye week, the Falcons will take on non-district foe Jupiter, who have lost three of their past four games.

8. (6) SEMINOLE RIDGE (4-1)

The Hawks coughed up a 21-6 halftime lead against district rival Wellington and lost 22-21 in the closing seconds, ending their bid for an undefeated season. Next: at Palm Beach Lakes

9. (9) CARDINAL NEWMAN (5-1)

The Crusaders have scored a total of 229 points this season and have won two in a row since a loss to Pahokee. The team topped St. John Paul II 42-0 in a rain-shortened game on Friday. Next: vs. Suncoast

10. (10) BENJAMIN (6-0)

The Buccaneers continue to be impressive with a victory over Pine Crest and are looking to play deeper into the postseason than last year, when Benjamin lost to eventual state champion Chaminade-Madonna in the regional final.
