Veterans Day Ceremony, 9 a.m., Veterans Memorial Park, 303 Anchorage Drive, North Palm Beach. The village of North Palm Beach celebration features keynote address by Retired Army Staff Sgt. Veterans Day Ceremony and Family Fun Day, 10 a.m., Griffing Park, 12220 Griffing Blvd., North Miami. The city of North Miami recognizes the dedication, service and sacrifice of local veterans of the United States Armed Forces, featuring presentations by local veterans organizations, the North Miami Police Department Honor Guard, North Miami Senior High School JROTC, Boy Scout Troop 80 and Cub Scout Troop 80; family activities, a bounce house, games for children and picnic-style refreshments. Sing and Patriotic Painting presentation, 4 and 6 p.m., Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood. Free performance by singer-artist Joe Everson, as he creates two patriotic-themed paintings in front of a live audience at L Bar near the main entrance of the casino. Everson will create the first painting: Lady Liberty, as he sings, God Bless the U.S.A. The second painting, Raising the Flag, a re-creation of the iconic photograph from Iwo Jima in World War II, will be created as he sings the national anthem, The Star Spangled Banner.
