One of the area’s top players is heading to Athens, Ga. University School running back Kenny McIntosh committed to the Georgia Bulldogs on Wednesday morning, announcing his decision on his Twitter account.

McIntosh, a four-star prospect and No. 10 running back in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports, chose the Bulldogs over Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Oklahoma and several other schools.

McIntosh, the No. 3 prospect in Broward’s 2019 class, leads the Sharks with 1,135 rushing yards on only 91 carries (for an astounding 12.5 yards per carry) and 16 touchdowns. He also has 135 receiving yards and a touchdown catch. On defense, he has 14 tackles and 3.5 sacks.

The University School star has been on major programs’ radars since he was in middle school. Miami offered him a scholarship when he was in eighth grade. He was a Super 11 selection before this season and an All-County first-team pick as a junior.

McIntosh’s older brothers have both played college football. After starring at Cardinal Gibbons, RJ McIntosh played defensive line for the Miami Hurricanes and was drafted by the New York Giants in this year’s NFL Draft. Another one of his brothers, Deon McIntosh, played for Notre Dame and is now playing for East Mississippi Community College, whose football program became well-known due to the Netflix series “Last Chance U.”
