‘I do’ see Adam Sandler in Boca couple’s wedding photos
He starred in the 1998 film “The Wedding Singer,” and it turns out Adam Sandler had a cameo role in the weekend wedding of a couple from Boca Raton.
After Karan and Tatiana Shah took their vows in Palm Beach on Saturday, it was time for the traditional post-ceremony pictures.
The newlyweds were shocked to see Sandler strolling by in a pair of basketball shorts and a T-shirt.
Tonya Laker, the owner and lead photographer at Palm Beach Photography Inc., wasn’t about the let a special memory moment pass without some pictures.
“What a super nice guy,” she wrote on her company’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. “Probably the last thing he wanted to do after playing basketball was to star in our wedding pics but he hopped right in and made the day even more remarkable,” she wrote.
Sandler, wearing his usual smile and a blue basketball jersey with the number 23, (think Michael Jordan) posed for pictures with the happy couple and with Laker herself.
“We were all star struck. He was just so nice,” Laker told Florida television station WTSP.
In “The Wedding Singer,” by the way, Sandler played a 1985 nice guy who has one of the most romantic jobs in the word — singing at weddings — and also has a broken heart after being left at the altar by the woman he was supposed to marry.
