Seminoles’ 2019 schedule a Saturday-only special

TALLAHASSE­E — Florida State fans don’t have to worry about squeezing in college football games on Friday nights.

For the first time in since 2003, every FSU football game will be played on Saturdays, the ACC confirmed while releasing the Seminoles’ 2019 schedule on Wednesday.

The Seminoles’ ACC opener is set for Sept. 14. at Virginia in Charlottes­ville, Va. FSU plays eight games in the state of Florida, with the conference home opener scheduled for Sept. 21 against Louisville.

FSU opens its season Aug. 31 against Boise State in Jacksonvil­le. It is the fourth time in the past six years that the Seminoles have opened at a neutral site and the Seminoles are 23-6-2 all-time in neutralsit­e games during the regular season.

Florida State’s first game in Doak Campbell Stadium in on Sept. 7 against Louisiana-Monroe. It also will be FSU Hall of Fame Weekend. Homecoming will be on Oct. 26 when the Seminoles host Syracuse.

The annual FSU versus Miami rivalry game will be at Doak Campbell Stadium on Nov. 2.

The Seminoles finish conference play at Boston College on Nov. 9 and their final home game will be on Nov. 16 against Alabama State. FSU’s bye week will be Nov. 23, right before the in-state rivalry game at Florida on Nov. 30.

Kickoff times and television broadcast info will be announced at a later date.
