Upscale breakfast chain Yolk cracks open in Boca Raton

This national breakfast-lunch chain, founded in 2006 in Chicago, has introduced its first Florida location in Park Place.
“It will fill a void for a specific niche of high-end fare as opposed to a regular pancake house,” Yolk spokesperson Gianluca Pesce says. “Yolk is known for superior service, generous portion sizes and consistent flavors.”
Breakfast best-sellers include cinnamon roll French toast ($12.50), Nutty Monkey pancakes with bananas, chocolate chips and peanut butter ($12.50) and four styles of eggs Benedict ($13). Lunch favorites include a grilled cheese supreme sandwich ($11), grilled portobello Cobb salad ($14), charbroiled patty melt on grilled rye ($14), pot roast sandwich ($14) and a steak salad ($17).
“The coffee program is competitive with highquality execution, making it higher caliber with an elevated experience,” Pesce says. “The coffee bar is a new component. It is accessible indoor and outdoor and is not featured in any of our other locations.”
Boca Raton is also the first location to offer avocado toast ($11), breakfast burritos ($12.50) and breakfast mac and cheese with bacon and ham, crowned with an egg ($12.50). A wide range of specialty beverages includes kombucha on tap ($6).
“We are constantly transitioning to maintain a contemporary, yet bright and sunny aesthetic and feel,” Pesce says. “For instance, the original locations had wood flooring, and the newer ones feature concrete.”
Yellow umbrellas beckon on a wraparound, landscaped patio. Inside, counter seating curves around an open kitchen amid a bold, blue-and-yellow palette, and striking geometric dividers separate booths.
Hours are from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
