boardwalk, I think of something freshly made and, of course, the sea is right there, right? And I also think of something fun and almost whimsical at the same time. So it’s not about paté. It’s about a corn dog, but instead of a regular corn dog, what about a lobster corn dog? And if you’re on this boardwalk, it’s going to be a melting pot of people, so [the food] could be anything.”

Dapuzzo says, “We do this fresh seafood cone. Imagine a flower bouquet, but instead of flowers, it’s fresh seafood — shrimp, salmon, calamari, scallops. I can’t even explain it.”

Other “winners,” he says, are the hummus topped with minted tahini sauce and edible flowers, and the butcher’s meat board, which is under the “big shares” part of the dinner menu with filet mignon, marinated hanger steak and short ribs that have been slow-cooked for six hours.

“Another big winner that I think is going to be a sleeper … we do a whole cauliflowe­r in a fire oven and topped with fresh herbs, pomegranat­e, pickled onions, a honey turmeric sauce. It’s something special,” Dapuzzo says. “And you can finish with our shakes. I don’t want to describe them to you. You really need to see them. It’s homemade ice cream and the craziest toppings. It stands up above the plate six inches.”
