DAVIE — The Miami Dolphins’ health at the wide receiver position will be a cause for concern during the final five weeks of the regular season.

Dolphins wide receivers Albert Wilson (hip/chest) and Allen Hurns (ankle) were limited participants in Wednesday’s practice on a day where Miami placed one receiver on injured reserve and promoted another to the roster.

Wilson suffered a chest injury in the second half last Sunday against the Cleveland Browns and he did not return. Wilson is hopeful the latest injury (his hip injury is a lingering issue since last season) does not keep him out of this Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles (5-6).

“Obviously Albert is doing everything he can to get out there,” Dolphins coach Brian Flores said of Wilson. “He’s doing everything he can to work his way back.”

Hurns, who caught a late touchdown from quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick against the Browns, is a newcomer to the injury report in recent weeks. His limited practice could also be a precaution moving forward.

The Dolphins have no other healthy receiver on their roster than, oddly enough, five-year veteran DeVante Parker, who leads Miami with 46 catches for 695 yards and four touchdowns.

Miami placed speedster and dynamic kick returner Jakeem Grant on injured reserve due to a right ankle injury he suffered against the Browns. The Dolphins promoted Isaiah Ford to their 53-man roster for the second time this season to replace Grant.

Adding to the concern at receiver, Dolphins defensive backs Ryan Lewis (chest), Steven Parker (groin), Ken Webster (ankle) and Ken Crawley (shoulder) were also limited participants in practice.

The Dolphins do have some relatively good news on the injury front with two important players.

Fitzpatrick, who was limited last week and listed with right shoulder and right forearm injuries, was a full participant on Wednesday.

Defensive end Taco Charlton, who played 15 snaps against the Browns to gradually work his way back from a right elbow injury, was able to participant fully in practice for the first time in two weeks.

Two other Dolphins players practiced fully Wednesday despite being listed with injuries: linebacker Jerome Baker (chest) and running back Kalen Ballage (Achilles).
