HOLLYWOOD – A woman is jailed without bond after she was seen on video yelling, cursing, and pounding on the door of a Hollywood home demanding a credit card and then pointing a gun at the man who answered the door, police said.

Starr Rene Wilson, 50, of Hollywood, was arrested Saturday and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, petit theft and criminal mischief for the incident that happened about 2:30 a.m. Dec. 3, records show.

According to the arrest report, police reviewed six home security videos. In one, Wilson is seen and heard yelling, “Give me my Discover card back, your friend told me you got it,” and, “Your friend gave me your address,” among several obscenities.

In the videos, Wilson can bee seen carrying a pink and silver handgun, an arrest report said. She is also seen on a fenced-in backyard patio destroying property.

After kicking over and taking some decorative lights on the front lawn and ripping a Christmas wreath from the front door, Wilson left. She returned the wreath and lights the next night and stole other lights, police said.

The resident of the home told police he had never seen the woman before.

On Friday, detectives circulated the surveillance pictures and video of the incident with the hope someone would recognize and identify the woman. Within 24 hours, the strategy worked.

Police received an anonymous call from someone who said Wilson frequented some bars on Hollywood beach and was known to start fights and brag about her, “pink gun.” Her identity was confirmed from a photographic line up, investigators said.

When police went to her home and repeatedly knocked at the front door, officers found Wilson behind the house and she told them, “I saw the news. I knew you all were coming,” the arrest report said.

Before she was taken into custody, Wilson asked police if she could lock up her house because there were guns inside. They searched the house and found a pink Monster stun gun, a .380 caliber Beretta Pico handgun, and a “fake assault rifle,” which they confiscated under the risk protection law. At her first court appearance Monday, Broward Assistant State Attorney Eric Linder requested Wilson be held in jail without bond because she went to the house twice.

“The family is in great concern for their safety,” he said.

“I’m not a threat to this family in any kind of way, shape or form,” Wilson told Broward Judge Jackie Powell.

“I have to disagree with you that you are [not] a threat to this family based on the allegations that I have before me this morning,” the judge said. “That not just once but twice you went to the home with a firearm.”

Wilson is being held in the Broward County Jail without bond.
